At the top of the Ellicottville hills, the Golden Stride Walker Ranch was a classic dairy before a 1980 tornado destroyed the large barn. Several years ago a new barn was completed, attached to a small indoor arena and the “milk house portion” of the original barn, where 5 stalls can accommodate visiting horses. Since then, additions and changes have been made with the horse herd in mind: a custom barn where every equine lives in a herd and has large run-in areas with attached pastures, and miles and miles of trails on family land with turkey, deer and the occasional black bear sighting to keep life interesting.
